Hello Mates,
i plan to buy an new Mobilephone. I wish me an Phone, that can sync with Kontact. Which experience you have? Can anyone propose any Phone? --
I have a couple of Sony Ericsson phones (W595 and G502). They both connect very easily with openSUSE and can share contacts, calendar, tasks, up/dlownload files. The only piece it can't share are notes.
How are you doing this? My goal is to communicate these things with evolution. In fact, any solution is interesting.
That is exactly how I have been using it. Under gnome & syncing with Evolution. When I needed to replace phones I bought SE because all the internet sites I read suggested they were easy to sync with linux, and it proved to be the case.

Are you running GNOME or KDE? Or does that even make a difference here? Despite the fact that I am using evolution, I run KDE 4.3.1
I am running GNOME on openSUSE 11.0. The last phone I had was an LG which I never got to connect using wammu/gammu. This time I read on the internet that many SE phones used IRMC.
But setting up Linux with an SE phone should be easier, right? :)
Setting up any phone under Linux 'should' be easy. In the end, I think I was lucky to pick two models that conencted so easy. Different models, other manufacturers and who knows. As the saying goes, YMMV. Good Luck. Allen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
