Is there any way to get some more intelligent naming for repos in the YaST package manager? (openSUSE 11.1, KDE 4.3.1)
No. But you can easily change the repo-files in /etc/zypp/repos.d. You need to change the string inside the [] in the first line, I think it's called 'alias' in zypper. I have e.g. a file VLC.repo containing ==== [Videolan] name=VideoLan Repository ==== Filtering after Repositories, I see the name "VideoLan Repository", selecting a package and looking in the "Versions" tab, I see "Videolan".
