I don't understand it....I follow the advise (the link) to the point and YaST comes up with dependency hell.
Would you mind being a little more explicit? I don't know what you mean here by "dependency hell" - I don't see that

Hi list and Anders,
- by dependency hell I mean that the upgrade seems to start - but then YaST comes out with red warnings (a LOT) that this or that programme/library/what-do-I-know cannot be satisfied and so.
The "dependency hell" is most probably because of vendor change from openSUSE to openSUSE Build Service. There is of course few packages that don't exist in 4.3 anymore, but I can't recall that they make a problem. The solutions are: 1) Read /etc/zypp/zypp.conf lines after: ## Defining directory which contains vendor description files. and setup list of such vendors (I didn't test that part, and 11.1 zypper is not equipped with any command line options to control that) 2) Manually go trough the list of problems and allow change from openSUSE to openSUSE Build Service (works, but it is a long list)
At that point, I cancel the upgrade as YaST doesn't give me but one choice.. namely to ignore it. Which I certainly don't want to do.
There is nothing to ignore, at least in the majority of listed "problems". <Anders replied to the snipped out part> -- Regards, Rajko http://news.opensuse.org/category/people-of-opensuse/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
