Partly right: the OP made the error of cross-posting (which is bad in itself 
for exactly the reason you just experienced).
It's enough for one user of one of the MLs not to be subscribed to the other 
and he's simply not ABLE to cross-post it again.

As such, a cross-posted thread is doomed to fail very soon.
