As 11.2 release get closer, everyone take a minute or so to submit your top 5 bugs against KDE4 so the bugs can be captured and fixed. 4.3.0 was release with numerous bugs remaining in the code and the amazing part is that 90% of the simple bugs that stare you in the face are *not* even reported yet. Take for example changing a directory name in konqueror and the directory list not updating (see eg. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=204110)
*If* 90% is accurate, we *do* have problems. How did you obtain this figure?
KDE4.3 is very usable, but at the same time very frustrating to use due to all the little things that are annoying as heck. (like having to restart konqueror to update folder names after you change directory names in detail view) The more we take time to open report the annoyances the quicker they will get fixed. (hopefully)
Odd, I had not noticed this. You must remember that konqueror is a lost child. It has lost it's standing as the system browser and file-manager (firefox and dolphin), so the necessary skills and manpower will undoubtedly be directed in an area which will survive for the future, ie: very low priority.
It's either that or back to icewm (P.S. thanks to the person that updated the iceWM control panel for all versions -- 10.3 included)
a thinly veiled threat? unnecessary hyperbole? ps: thanks for wrapping the lines ;^) -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
