Hi, I wan't to login into a box that has a new installed OpenSuse 11.1 with GNOME. When I had it here, I could use VNC. Now it's on a remote site and I get just this black/white dotted screen with a X-mousepointer but no login screen. So the basic connect is OK and it's not a firewall issue. The vncserver is managed by xinetd I checked the vnc option in yast. There might be a problem with the x config. startx complains about missing a suitable screen section. I know it worked here with a 1280x1024 TFT but I can't even say if the remote admin has plugged a monitor in. In any case it is most likely turned off. I can't ask him since he left for a holliday trip. How can I get the TightVNC working without a monitor? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
