On 11.0, I find that if I launch wireshark using the run dialog (ie, ALT- F2), it's launched using gnomesu.
On 11.1, it isn't launched using gnomesu.
How does the run dialog determine whether to use gnomesu or not?
You're most likely hitting https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=476158 In openSUSE 11.1, gnome was patched to read the desktop file and recognize that elevated rights are needed. I assume that already in 11.1 this got lost (the report was against openSUSE 11.2, Factory, but it might have happened earlier). Also, if you updated your openSUSE 11.1 to GNOME 2.26, then I assume you're very likely to have exactly this bug.
