I am getting a problem with my sound card, sometimes it works the others not. It is an ALC883, the relevant section of the log shows:

Now, I am guessing that it has something to do with the "unknown model",
lspci shows:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02)
I have searhced google and cannot see anything that matches. When the drive loads, I get sound, but every 2 boots I get no sounds

I edit my modprobe.d file and changed it to options snd-hda-intel index=0 model=basic Which seems to work but I have a feeling that the file keeps changing as I have a feeling I did this before Sean - -- Thawte, GSWoT and CaCert WOT Assurer .tel http://rima.tel/ I believe that every human has a finite number of heartbeats.
