Listmates, This was a bit surprising. In this rating openSuSE is the leader in the number of obsolete packages and lag time in packaging. Granted the data underlying the study is not bulletproof, but it does seem to suggest a bit of corporate paralysis. I have no idea of the differences between the ways other distros handle upstream/downstream package movement, but some of the distros shown to do a better job have only a tiny fraction of the resources that openSuSE has.
