I expect you would have to leave it in KDE3 I have no real solution except to leave the desktop that has them on when you leave your computer for some length of time longer than a reboot takes.Check to see if you can tell KDE4 the location of the KDE3 screensavers. they are the same savers just a different location , perhaps that will fix it. Listmates,
One difference I have noticed with kde4 is many (probably 90%) of the screensavers don't work for one reason or the other, but work just fine in kde3. (Setup Tohsiba P205D, Radeon RS690M [x1200], fglrx driver).
Few Examples include:
kcontrolcenter previews overlap other windows:

-saver-mail.jpeg
Normal screen savers (Banner) has artifacts:

OpenGL screensavers (euphoria) - Lock the screen when activated kcometen4-1.0.5 - fireworks/lightning OK, but now background is drawn Atunnel - crashes on exit ( ctrl+alt+F1 then ctrl+alt+F7 required)
What leaves me scratching my head is they all work fine in kde3. Generally this stuff is graphics driver related, but when all is good in kde3 and bad in kde4, that tells me that the kde4 library that interfaces with the driver has problems. Does anyone know anything about a kde4 library/fglrx issue or anything else that would explain this behavior?
