Hello,

jdd, (you are just supposed to guess;-) I have a few notes on my config /postfix/dovecot/squirrelmail , etc. put together in my server page that would help. http://www.3111skyline.com/linux/openSuSE-server.php Additionally, the important part of my dovecot config is: [21:21 nirvana:/var/spool/fax/etc] # nc /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf protocols = imap imaps ssl_disable = no mail_location = mbox:~/Mail:INBOX=/var/spool/mail/%u (the remaining settings are left at the default) The relevant section of my /srw/www/htdocs/squirrelmail/config/config.php is: $domain = '3111skyline.com'; $imapServerAddress = 'localhost'; $imapPort = 993; $useSendmail = false; $smtpServerAddress = 'localhost'; $smtpPort = 25; $sendmail_path = '/usr/sbin/sendmail'; $sendmail_args = '-i -t'; $pop_before_smtp = false; $pop_before_smtp_host = ''; $imap_server_type = 'dovecot'; $invert_time = false; $optional_delimiter = 'detect'; $encode_header_key = ''; When running /srw/www/htdocs/squirrelmail/conf.pl, you can select the predefined "dovecot" config which will set the necessary parameters for you. For you squirrelmail install, I would recommend using the svn version for 1.5. It ias been a great and well-maintained package. Dovecot is definitely the way to go in my opinion. Simple to configure and maintain and works and plays well with other packages. Good luck. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
