[opensuse] No xdisplay gnome after upgrade

Hello,
I did an upgrade through yast. I upgraded all the packages it was
showing.I think I did an upgrade to kernel to 2.6.27.23.
After reboot it showed a message that the volume control is not available.
The network was down and when I clicked on my computer it stucked and
I saw beagle.I rebooted again with failsafe and I saw only a black
screen.
I did an init 3 and logged in as root.I tried to run level 5 but
nothing happens.
Please any help.I use opensuse 11.1 with gnome.
