Has anyone succeeded in getting TomTom to be recognized in Windows XP running in VirtualBox? It is recognized as a USB mass storage unit, but it won't start. (Code 10). USB sticks and all that work OK. TomTom people (surprise!) know nothing.
Opensuse 11.0, VBox 2.4.4, Windows XP SP3. I don't have a TomTom.. but some thoughts... you're using VBox 2.4.4... have you tried VBox 3.0? One of the changes that /may/ affect your USB prob might be this bug which was fixed in 3.0: http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/242 It's for webcams, but may be related since this fixed/added support for high-speed isochronous endpoints.... maybe the TomTom uses something similar when it connects?
It also may help to mention which TomTom you have... might make a difference to the discussion... if anything to help with the Google-ing :-)
C. OK, thanks, I'll try that. I have a TomTom ONE, but I don't think it makes a lot of difference.
VBox 3.0 unfortunately did not make a difference. Still get Code 10, will not start. Maybe it is a kernel issue, as some in Ubuntu report succes. Any 11.1 users have any luck?
