Dear list and listmates :-)
- this just came up...
- what if one has a LARGE number of openSuSE11.n virtualized desktop machines, we're talking thousands... - all in a clusted vmware environment, the machines are/will be created more or less on the fly. Some vmware professionals take care of this.
Problem: Each user has his own virtualized desktop machine. So; when 'Peter' logs in, through some mechanism he needs to be directed/given access to his very own virtual machine. He will access the desktop of the machine using XDCMP or (better) FreeNX.
It's not a load balancer we're looking for here, but rather a 'selector'.
Any ideas?
Anyhow, thank you in advance for any comments and thoughts!
