I have installed Miro, and downloaded a first video as an exercise. It turns out to be a Quicktime clip. Clicking on this file's icon brings up Kaffeine with an empty black screen; clicking on the Play button causes a single line of text to appear, identifying the file. Nothing more happens. I tried to restart Miro, which presented an error message reading: "An unknown error prevented Miro from startup", and inviting me to file a bug report. (A short browse in Miro's bug reports shows a LOT of trouble.) If someone has an idea what has happened, I'd like to hear about it. At the moment, my impression is that Miro is very far from being ready for prime time, and I'm inclined to junk it. -- Stan Goodman Qiryat Tiv'on Israel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
