We tried exactly what you described. It is true that the repairing feature
cleaned up most of our mistakes. Unluvkily, not all of them, though!
In fact, the best result w could get is to have both OS choice appearing on
rebooting te system. SuSE is the default one and starts out fine.
But if Windiws is selected then Windows never starts. Actually, if Windows is
selected then it loops endlessly on the OS choice.
We are stuck here.
Can please anyone help us out ?
Thank you in advance,
Maura

How can I install Windows as well so as to create adual-boot ?
Maybe this can be handle by Grub ?
It is usually easier if Windows is installed first,
and Linux after, as
Windows is notorious for removing any other OS boot info,
whereas
openSUSE gladly detects the Windows partition and adds it
to grub
without a hassle. But all is not lost:
I would suggest the following:
1) Install Windows into the free partition, letting it do
it's dirty
deeds.
2) Boot the openSUSE install DVD. Do not do an install.
Choose that you
want to repair the system. In the menus there you can limit
it to
sorting out the boot stuff. openSUSE will then set up grub,
along with a
Windows entry.
You can try step 2 right away to see that it works. It is a
really nice
SUSE feature.
