it's only hold a link to the actual repository. Looks like yum is able to scan it, but I don't know if zypper do (zypper in don't)
Is there any reason in particular you want to use yum over zypper anyway? And what repo are you specifically looking for? or program or what?
1) i'm not the creator of the rpm 2) it don't seems to work with zypper (or need some syntax I don't know)
Do you mean installing the rpm package? No special syntax is required, it should work like this: zypper in 'http://wiki.tldp.org/Package%20Repositories?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=tldp-repo-0.1-1.noarch.rpm' But indeed, zypper will only handle URLs which point directly to the rpm file. This one doesn't. Maybe we might improve on that, i'm not sure. Is yum really able to install it from this URL? -- cheers, jano Ján Kupec YaST team ---------------------------------------------------------(PGP)--- Key ID: 637EE901 Fingerprint: 93B9 C79B 2D20 51C3 800B E09B 8048 46A6 637E E901 ---------------------------------------------------------(IRC)--- Server: irc.freenode.net Nick: jniq Channels: #zypp #yast #suse #susecz ---------------------------------------------------------(EOF)---
