I find I can play wmv files with Mplayer, sooooo, it
probably boils down to the xine engine or libxine. I went into Yast and
updated Kaffeine, xine-ui, and libxine1. Anyone can tell me what other
packages should be there?, or better yet what can be causing this?
No answer here but have a sort of similar problem, but about a week ago,
suddenly my kaffeine player won't play any wmv's at all. No
upgrades/updates done here either. It still plays all mpg's and ogg's and
such, but simply stopped playing wmv's. Mplayer and kmplayer both play
wmv's just fine.

--Seems they aren't paying much attention lately.
The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the
others.
