Helllo SuSE people,

Running 10.3, Kde 3.5.10 on s 64 bit machine. Kaffeine, Xine, and all
codecs installed. No recent upgrades.

All of a sudden, when I go to play a wmv file with Kafffeine or Xine the
audio portion consists of short bursts of static only. An mpg file plays
properly.

Amarok plays mp3, wav, streaming audio. Youtube audio works fine. It is
just the wmv files. Tried several of my old archived wmv files that I know
used to work, same result.

Any ideas? Anyone seen or heard of this before?

Replying to my own post, When I say static, I mean no expected orregular
sound. It sounds like burst of firing from an automatic weapon.

I find I can play wmv files with Mplayer, sooooo, it
probably boils down to the xine engine or libxine. I went into Yast and
updated Kaffeine, xine-ui, and libxine1. Anyone can tell me what other
packages should be there?, or better yet what can be causing this?
