Seeing as you have killer skills with openSuSE, I'm kinda wondering why you did the 'doze.
I did the doze because the box was going to the office for the new secretary I hired and out of all of the new things she will be learning, I thought I wouldn't force the OS change on her --- just yet. But... it's coming...
Logical, as I read the software install list the only part that jumped up was PhotoShop. I've read reports that it works fairly well under wine, but it hasn't on my daughters system as of yet.

I don't know when it happened, but I've gotten to where I prefer the gimp to photoshop/paintshop for all but vector graphics. I used to suck at raster graphics. Coming from an engineering background, I had do use for them. But in the normal world, just about everything is a raster (photos, web page stuff, etc.) and I really like the gimp now. It was an awkward relationship at first, but after the 200th trip to the manual, I'm starting to get the hang of it;-) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
