Hi,
Want to install opensuse 11.1 using the kde4 live. I downloaded the 32
Bit, LiveCD from http://software.opensuse.org/
The LiveCD do not manage my monitor Benq FP22W! I only see a black
screen. The monitor says "Out of range". Tried different boot settings
(such as screen=1680x1050) without success- Any advice on how to proceed
?
My current settings are 1680x1050 WSXGA+, 16 bit color, 19 inch diagonal,
5/4 aspect ratio, Display size X axis=376 mm, Y axis=301 mm.
Well, 1680x1050 (16:10 ratio)(474x296 millimeters) is native resolution for
many 22" .
Try Ctrl-Alt-F1 to get to the console, then login as root;
Login: root
Password: <root password>
Then run:
# sax2 -r
try to get to working display and post the result, good or bad.
It would be also useful to know what graphic card is in your computer, and
in case that above command fails Xorg.0.log and SaX2 log from /var/log/
directory.

Ctrl-Alt-F1 and sax2 -r (almost) solved the problem. I hade to issue init 3
first and init 5 when ready. Funny though since I did not have to change
anything just accept the suggestion from sax2. Unlike suse 10.3 the monitor
was even listed.
Running a built-in nvidia GeForce 6150 on the Asus M2NPV-VM nForce 430
motherboard.
Thank's
Sven
