Sorry about the stuff up in editing reply-to-all guys.......
I have been able to Mirror my Boot+Root partitions by
formatting with the correct format and using the redundancy of different same
size partitions on different HDD on two seperate disks and creating a mirror
RAID - Is
there anything special in creating a RAID (mirror) of the boot+root partitions
of a HDD.
As when I come to boot the system - I get please insert system disk....
I did select the original primary master HDD before which always produced a
stable boot and operation.
Now all I have done is to create a redundancy raid with the second sata HDD
partition....but still no boot.
Can anyone tell me their experience in doing just the same without however
having to correct or change the boatload manually.
My Knowledge is sound in theory but my redundancy RAID of my boot+root
partition correct. Can anyone tell me if I DO need to change anything in the
boot config to get this to boo it from the designated Media. If there is a
requirement to have to change boot loader instructions manually - Ill assume it
does not work fore me

Because apart from dissecting the acronym - which in today's terms with
many varieties of R.A.I.D's, is no longer meaningful, I can create a
single volume from many partitions from many physical disks.
What I have not been able to do is create a RAID redundancy of the
boot+/ drive using different physical disk partitions and get the thing
to boot! ;-)

Sorry - I create the Mirrored during Installation selecting the 1
physical drive as boot+root and its mirror on a different physical drive
partition , however when I boot the PC from HDD after Install the PC
does not boot anything - I not sure if this is an error in writing the
boot-loader or I have stuffed up the Mirror
Sorry Per - OOP!

formatting with the correct format and creating a mirror RAID - Is

do you mean? Coz' later on you say you have formatted and created a
RAID device.
Is there something I have possible not done to correctly boot from aBoot loader config?
(RAID) Redundant boot+root drive on different physical media.
P.S Hate the new Partitioner in 11.1 - I saw nothing wrong with itsYeah, same here. It took me a while to find "reread partion maps" in
form in 11.0,
the new one.
