It didn't work... (:-))

I did the zypper rm thing, it reported that it had nothing to do...

I just tried it again...I wanted to cite/quote the output to you as it
exactly writes. This time, IT WORKED! It removed some 39Mb of files, it
said.
Then I rebuilt the Nvidia 180.44, no errors. I then typed startx.

YOU SAVED MY DAY!

Thanks a lot, this goes into my indespenseable book of valuable how-tos!
