I haven't worked with this Kernel Device in well over 4 years, but check
out the "Network Block Device" (NBD) - I originally experimented with
mounting and taking forensically-sound partition images over the network
with this kernel device, but I dunno if it will suit your particular
need.
the NBD and ENBD (Enhanced Network Block Device) were originally
intended to allow for creating a RAID across diverse objects (files,
partitions, disks, etc) across a network.
The more modern alternative would be iSCSI, which can export partitions over
the network
