Have you tried the repo method?

zypper ar --repo
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/system://SynCE/openSUSE_11.0/system:SynCE.repo

OR

Since, you're using KDE 3.5, you should install the package synce-kde3
on your machine... using the one click install for kde 3 or directly
from whichever package manager you like; I will not start a fight
about that.
