Listmates: I purchased a couple of ms explorer 4.0 usb/ps2 mice that were being clearanced ($6.99) and now I am experimenting with all the buttons, etc. on my laptop (11.0 kde3). Amazingly all but 2 of the buttons have functionality by just plugging it in. My best summary of the default functionality is: left button: normal right button: normal scroll wheel: normal wheel button: normal fwd thumb button: page forward in Firefox rear thumb button: page back in Firefox left tilt of scroll wheel: nothing right tilt of scroll wheel: nothing I have found some old posts (2004) regarding the need for EVDEV to be enabled in the kernel and it is: 20:18 alchemy:/usr/src/linux> grep -i evdev .config CONFIG_INPUT_EVDEV=y What other tricks can I do with this thing? Anybody else ever worked with one of these? Any links or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
