I know this is not very openSUSE-related, apologies in advance.
Does anyone know which format MS Exchange might support for exporting a list of accounts or email-addresses? A ldap query of AD should work. There are scripts around to extract

Thanks, that sounds interesting. I won't be doing this myself, it's for a customer of mine. What would be the typical/initial output format of such a query?
Depends on your query. (^-^) I don't have an Exchange server, instead I have to query a Lotus Domino server. ldapsearch -x -h $host-ip -D cn=$admin-id, -s sub "(uid=*)" uid | grep "uid:" | cut -d" " -f2 >> $tempfile That will give me a list of addresses which I can process further. The real question is how to make sure that the query matches all recipients. I decided not to query the domino server directly via ldap query in case I get hit by a spam storm. This way the mail gateway is independent from the internal domino server. There are scripts that either use vbs on the windows side to extract the addresses or ldapsearch on a linux bux to do that. It all depends on your requirements. Is it a repeated task on a linux box, then use ldapsearch. If it is a one-time task you might as well use the vbs script, that's out there somewhere on the internet.
