For years I've been setting up (open)suse machines with three (or more) partitions - each one using software RAID1, all partitions created and RAID set up during the installation. Has worked (at least up to 10.3) like a dream... /dev/md0 as /boot, /dev/md1 as /, and /dev/md2 as swap is(was) my current standard. Is it true that you simply can't do this (at least the /boot bit) with opensuse 11.x? I don't understand why this doesn't work, why this has changed in 11.x since it worked so well up to 10.3, and what I should be doing instead?
