After you've got a day or two of real use under your belt, can you
repost your status related to 4.2RC1

I tried the factory KDE version about a week or two ago. It was a
disaster, so I backed out of it totally and I'm now back to official
release plus online security updates. (Don't know if there have been
any of those or not.)
