Unfortunately that's not the problem. I've used GIMP before, and have created a new document. It shows the paintbrush cursor, and even says "Click to paint..." at the bottom of the image window. However, clicking, dragging, whatever, I can't seem to make a mark on the paper, no matter what foreground/background colors, nor what drawing tool I use.
It is working (drawing) here and it's the time to compare versions.
openSUSE 11.1 x86 KDE 3.5.10-21.9 GIMP 2.6.2-2.18-i586
Started from command line doesn't produce any messages.
I'm using stuff directly from the OpenSuSE 11.0 x86 distribution: OpenSuSE 11.0 x86 Gnome (Gnome Desktop reports as 2.22.1-26.1) Gimp 2.4.5-41.1 I guess I could upgrade GIMP, which would automatically reinstall it...
