Listmates,
11.1 w/KDE3 and k3b will not run for non-root. I have added the user to cdrom group, still no joy. Works fine in 11.0, but not 11.1. I recall a work-around that circulated about this a few months ago, but I didn't write it down. Any one have it handy?
Is wodim suid root? I remember I had to make it so by hand long time gone. (10.2 or so) Since k3b is basically a GUI wrapper for wodim, it has to be suid root to work for non root users. (Obligatory caveats omitted).
Regards,
Try bugs https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=408252 and https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=460791 . If you haven't got user write permissions, I had that problem way back due to /dev/sr0 line in fstab not having user and users in it, I can't remember which.
The difference between user and users is that with users anyone can unmount a drive mounted by another user. With user only the one who mounted a drive can unmount it. -- Use OpenOffice.org http://www.openoffice.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
