Erik,
Have you tried using the Update feature on the install disc? There is an option to remove unsupported packages, which will get you back to the state of a new install, but without overwriting your files. Also, if you do a new installation from the disc without formatting your drives, you'll be able to boot. The only downside I've found with doing that is that yast may be confused about whether some apps are installed, but everything works fine.

Nkoli... If you only refer to the boot problem I had, I can tell you, that I'm able to boot now. But no, I hvae never used, nor been aware that there is that option you mention. -- Med venlig hilsen / Best regards Erik Jakobsen eja@urbakken.dk Registered Linux user #114875 - http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
