If it says it needs something else, add it to the line. It is doable!
Here is the last I have done:
rpm -i yast2* error: Failed dependencies: gnome-main-menu is needed by yast2-control-center-gnome-2.13.3-11.1.i586
Ok, so add gnome-main-menu*rpm
libeel-2.so.2 is needed by yast2-control-center-gnome-2.13.3-11.1.i586
That's libeel*rpm
libgnome-desktop-2.so.2 is needed by
That's libgnome-desktop*rpm
libthinkfinger.so.0 is needed by yast2-fingerprint-reader-2.16.8-6.1.i586
Argh. Probably, you don't really need that one, it comes because we saved time using yast*. Anyway, add libthinkfinger*rpm
yast2-installation >= 2.15.12 is needed by yast2-packager-2.16.53-3.1.i586
That's "yast2-installation...rpm"
libboost_regex.so is needed by yast2-squid-2.16.3-37.1.i586
That's "boost*rpm"
libevms-2.5.so.0 is needed by yast2-storage-evms-2.16.26-0.1.i586 libevms-2.5.so.0(EVMS) is needed by yast2-storage-evms-2.16.26-0.1.i586
That should be "evms...rpm".
yast2-installation is needed by yast2-update-2.16.10-4.1.i586 yast2-security is needed by yast2-users-2.16.33-6.1.i586
yast2-ldap-client >= 2.15.8 is needed by yast2-users-2.16.33-6.1.i586 yast2-devtools is needed by yast2-ycp-ui-bindings-devel-2.16.47-5.1.i586
Those should already have been included.
Where can I find yast2-installation ?
Currently it is yast2-installation-2.16.50-3.1, and it is in the DVD: ./DVD1/suse/noarch/yast2-installation-2.16.50-3.1.noarch.rpm Ah, I see, it is not in the current directory. Those Yast rpms it says it needs are in another directory of the dvd. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
