What is (mutandis mutandi) ?

A Latin expression used in maths, meaning changing what needs to be changed. Ie, don't take the expression literally.

Ok, thanks.

My menu.lst shows this:

# Modified by YaST2. Last modification on Sun Sep 28 10:09:28 CEST 2008
###YaST update: former default image flavor: pae###
default 0
timeout 8
gfxmenu (hd0,1)/boot/message
##YaST - activate

###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: linux###
title openSUSE 11.0 - 2.6.25.16-0.1 (default)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.25.16-0.1-default root=/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_WDC_WD800JB-00J_WD-WCAM9M475425-part2 resume=/dev/sda1 splash=silent showopts vga=0x31a
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.25.16-0.1-default

So, if you use that, you must make sure that your kernel is indeed /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.25.16-0.1-default.

Using uname -a I think.
Next time, when you uninstall anything, think twice, and have a real hard
look at what is going to be uninstalled. Don't just press "enter, enter,
enter". This is not windows!

I'm not sure if I mentioned windows, but I might not remembering that.

I mean that don't click "accept" without reading first, as windows users do. You are the administrator and have a responsibility to know what you are doing.

Yes ok.
