Unfortunately there isn't a boot installed system on 11.0 dvd, the
repair installed system option takes care of any critical packages that
are missing. The only way to bypass the bootloader in 11.0 is to use
kexec from the rescue disk.
You can boot rescue, then chroot and reinstall/reconfigure/whatever bootloeader and kernel if you need.
