Wish I could, but I tried the update option, and when booting I now now get the error:
Error 15: File not found, and this is a stopper to my view of point -at least
Either your kernel is gone or grub is not pointing to the right location. If you have the install dvd, you should be able to boot into the system. Iirc, if you boot off the disc, there should be an option to boot installed system either before installation or when you cancel install. You can reinstall the kernel and anything that has to do with yast2. If you'd rather not try to guess what needs to be installed, boot off the disc and select the repair installation option.
