Then I ought to apologize for being so insensitive. Were KDE4 desktop effects 
activated when you used it the first time? If so, I could file a bug report and 
ask that they should be deactivated by default.

You're right, I'm sorry. It never crossed my mind that transparencies could 
cause such difficulties to others, I completely misunderstood your point the 
first time.
