Hello to all,
I'm trying to get the VMware player running on an OpenSuSE 11.0 32bit where I upgraded the kernel to 2.6.27.4 from the BuildService (brand new Dell E6500 -- the Intel chipset is not fully supported by earlier kernels).
I pulled the player RPM from the VMware site, and it installed flawlessly. When I start the player, it asks for the path to the kernel headers. I installed the full kernel.org sources for 2.6.27.4 below /usr/src, but I can't make the player accept those as matching my kernel.
I think you should get the corresponding kernel-source rpm from the BuildService - I suppose they make it :-? - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
