seems to be the relevant error. The system is configured to use the nvidia 
driver, but it seems to be improperly installed

Was it installed with rpm? If so, was the correct module package for the 
running kernel installed? The output from

rpm -qa|grep nvidia
rpm -qa|grep kernel

would help here I think
