Unplug your device, replug that device again and look at the system log with 'dmesg | tail' This is the output
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -62 usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 24 usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice rndis_host 1-1:1.0: RNDIS_MSG_QUERY(0x00010202) failed, -47 eth2: register 'rndis_host' at usb-0000:00:02.0-1, RNDIS device, 00:24:00:00:00:00 usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0830, idProduct=00a0 usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 usb 1-1: Product: Treo usb 1-1: Manufacturer: Palm, Inc. usb 1-1: SerialNumber: 2ebd3000-14b5-0801-0de0-0013b5a86120

From that output all I can say is that a device was detected on a USB
port. Try to list all mounted USB devices with 'ls /dev/ttyUSB*' -- Bogdan Cristea -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
