Suggestions - other than a wipe & reinstall ??
Anton,
There is never any need to wipe & reinstall Linux unless you are changing distributions. To wipe and reinstall for a minor hiccup is just throwing the baby out with the bath water... Before doing anything drastic, take a look at:
Suspend to RAM http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram
Let me try rephrasing that. s2ram and s2disk work from the command line. What doesn't work any more: * the menu -> leave -> suspend * the timed suspend from the screensaver This is running KDE4. I've tried both lithium (which keeps crashing!) and kpowersave as front-ends. The 'systemsettings' no longer has an 'advanced' icon for power control. -- The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn't being said. --Peter F.
