The first couple partitions on a mac are drivers and stuff. Generally
only the last partition has an HFS or HFS+ filesystem on it and useful
info. Make sure you load the module:
modprobe hfsplus
modprobe hfs
That helped. That allowed me to see what I needed to see (that it was not
