I did say that I was using openSUSE 11.0 with KDE 4.1.2 desktop kde4-kdm is installed already, but it does seem to have been a two day problem because today YaST2 is working fine.
I don't have handy bug report, but description is the same as the problem in Beta1 where installation of kdm solves it, so I forgot your first sentence where you said what is used and answered.
