I used to use the wallpaper called water or water effects or whatever but now when I pick a wallpaper it simply defaults to the opensuse default wallpaper. No matter which ones I pick. However, the slide show works (but won't keep the time I set)
Any one else have this problem? and if so how to fix? -- Michael S. Dunsavage

Hi, Yes this is a bug that was raised on one of the forums its a result of the latest 4.1 update (52.2). Apparently its because the handling of this function is in the process of being changed, and will be fixed in 4.1.2 I think. Regards Jeff From the forum: Now I understand what's going on here... Aaron Seigo had mentioned that for 4.2 they were going to break out background rendering into its own plug-in set to allow people to use folderview as the default containment (i.e. have desktop icons from the ~/Desktop folder like KDE 3.5) and have a background. It looks like OpenSUSE is backporting this to 4.1.2, but the code to change the wallpaper hasn't been updated yet (i.e. it is updating the wallpaper the old way but Plasma only recognizes the new way). You can manually update the config using the following details (worked for me) or wait for a fix. You can also configure a wallpaper in ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-appletsrc manually: look for the containment number with the line "plugin=desktop" and eg assuming it's "0" add a section [Containments][0][Wallpaper][image] wallpaper=/usr/share/wallpapers/Blue_Curl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
