The earlier thread[0] noted that the repository locations have changed to:
Yes, I figured that one out after the first yast -> software management -> update all packages left me with 0.7.6 and 0.7.8 mixed versions installed. I added the compiz repo (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/Compiz/) and to insure no version conflicts, I disable the XGL repo. Even with a complete dump of compiz, the right repositories selected and install from 1-click install, compiz fails miserably where 2 hours ago it was running great with version 0.7.6. Now, with a reinstall of fusion-icon, not even fusion-icon will run and bombs with the following error: 00:26 alchemy~> fusion-icon * Error: the "FusionIcon" module is missing. If you did not install fusion-icon to /usr, you may need to add the appropriate site-packages directory to your PYTHONPATH Huh? It always worked before...
with the latest update. Where was the one-click that you used (if it's on a wiki, we should change it)?
The one-click was: http://en.opensuse.org/Compiz_Fusion I still don't have compiz working. Something is really strange with the 11.0 x86_64 compiz. (I can't compare any i586 machines, they are running 0.7.6 beautifully and in light of this problem, I don't dare touch them...) Let me know what additional information I can send. -- David C.
