Hi,

I can't make packages with checkinstall any longer, it has failed on two 
diferent packages:

I can manually create that dir (remember that checkinstall runs as root, 
in my case via sudo), and the next run it goes a little further, and fails 
again with permission denied on another directory create.

I have two alternatives: create each directory manually, or run "make 
install" (as root), followed by "checkinstall".

This is not clean.

Ideas?
