We have this issue where a linux box is talking to anything and throwing some checksum errors:
tcp.checksum == 0x4b52 should be 0x2bac
Ethereal states that it might be "tcp checksum offload?" but we confirmed that it's on.
So have you tried with it Offload OFF?
I've had problems with it in the past, which I ultimately tracked to an application problem, but which only manifested itself when offload was switched on using a gigabit nic.
Agreed the Offload does not always work under Linux. There was a long thread on the DRBD list that ended up being caused by a faulty Offload issue. I don't recall if it was bug in the firmware, or in the Linux driver, but either way it was resolved by disabling the offload (iirc).
