Do you have the port opened in the firewall?

I have no Firewall...


So the openSuse firewall (which is installed and enabled by default) has been
disabled through Yast (Security and Users -> FIrewall)?

Well. Sort of... I disabled it in the Runlevels Area...
Both 'iptables -L' and 'iptables -L -t nat' have "empty" results. No
rule is loaded.
