I copied VIDEO_TS from each DVD to VIDEO_TS[1,2] on HD, then tried to open Devede. It claims dep to both mplayer and mencoder. YaST2 can't find mencoder to install. Is that like videolan in needing some special repository to be configured (I'm on 10.2)? software.opensuse.org/search can't find it either. :-(
Even if I had them, your instructions aren't clear what to do with Devede vs. what to do with K3B. :-S
Devede was to make sure the files were consistent, and to provide an easily created menu to start both. But if your resolution reveals a bug in Devede, then it may not be too helpful. K3b would just burn the DVD files (bup, ifo, and vob files) to the disk. It does no checking, etc. If it is a long video, I would assume there are multiple vob files, i.e. VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc. These are broken down because of the file sizes. I believe the 01 corresponds to the first movie, so the second would be 02. So from the 2 isos, you would need to rename all of the second isos files accordingly in the projects VIDEO_TS folder. That should work except no menu. The menu is VIDEO_TS.VOB, i.e. no numbers. Technically you could use another program, but I have had good success with Devede. You could try ManDVD from Packman, though I found it more limited.
