Listmates, I don't know why, but http access to the education repo vi Yast causes YOU to return a timeout error. Neither of the following repositories make YOU happy: http://opensuse-education.org/download/repo/1.0/11.0/ http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Education:/desktop/openSUSE_11.0/ Looking at it with help from cyberorg on irc, it looks like when adding or subscribed to the http repos, the metadata for the repo isn't downloaded to your computer. Removing the http repositories and adding the ftp repository below solved the problem: ftp://ftp.opensuse-education.org/repo/1.0/11.0/ If you run across YOU time out errors like: Refresh failed: Error: Could not refresh repository 'openSUSE Education': Valid metadata not found at specified URL(s) History: - Download (curl) error for 'http://www.opensuse-education.org/download/repo/1.0/11.0/content': Error code: User abort Error message: connect() timed out! Using the ftp repository will solve the problem. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
